Costume Parade, Local Eats, Live Music & Autumn Magic Await in Kennedy Plaza

The City of Long Beach invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate the return of one of its most beloved traditions — the 27th Annual Long Beach Fall Festival, taking place Saturday, October 11th, and Sunday, October 12th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kennedy Plaza. This two-day event promises a festive atmosphere filled with autumn-inspired fun, live entertainment, family activities, and local flavor — all set against the scenic seaside charm of Long Beach.

The Highlight: The Annual Costume Parade

A crowd favorite every year, the Halloween Costume Parade steps off on Saturday, October 11th at 12 p.m. from Veteran’s Park at the Recreation Center Campus on Magnolia Boulevard. Children in grades five and under are invited to show off their spookiest, funniest, and most creative costumes.

Line-up and registration begin at 11 a.m., with the parade marching from Veteran’s Park to Kennedy Plaza to officially kick off the Fall Festival. Every child in costume will receive a trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies, including a pass for a free public skating session at the Long Beach Ice Arena.

Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes on the bandwagon following the parade, and participants can even purchase P.O.P. tickets at the parade line-up area. The parade is proudly sponsored by Long Beach Nursing and Rehab, Mount Sinai South Nassau, Long Beach CSEA, the Commanding Officers Association, and the Long Beach Professional Firefighters.
