Coming in at #10 on our list is Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck. They serve up a traditional Lobster Roll with homemade Maine lobster salad, mayonnaise, and celery on a buttered brioche bun with garlic herb fries. In addition to Lobster Rolls, Love Lane also offers a self serve coffee station, homemade sandwiches, soups and sauces and even dinner!

Bigelow’s Fried Clams has been serving up fresh seafood since 1939 and has taken the #9 spot in our poll. Bigelow’s Lobster Roll’s are made to order with your choice of hot or cold (tail, knuckle & claw) served on a toasted roll. In addition, their fresh clams are famous for a reason. First, they start with a fresh product, then fry it in trans-fat-free, cholesterol-free, oil that is changed daily!

If you’re looking for views of the Great South Bay as you savor your Lobster Roll, Nicky’s on the Bay is the spot. Nicky’s serves their Lobster Roll on toasted brioche bun with chips and cole slaw. When researching for this article, I noticed the Lobster Roll was only on the dinner menu, not the lunch.

#5: The Lobster Roll AKA LUNCH (Amagansett & South Hampton, NY)

The Lobster Roll (AKA LUNCH) started out as a roadside clam shack in 1965 and has now grown into two super busy summer locations serving up their famous Lobster Rolls. They offer a Classic Lobster Salad Roll with 100% pure, cold water lobster meat mixed with proprietary mayonnaise dressing and celery. They also serve a Hot Lobster Roll with hot, tasty chunks of claw and knuckle meat served in drawn butter with a toasted split-top bun on the side. Both Rolls come with a side of coleslaw and can be made a “special” that comes with French fries or sweet fries for an upcharge.

If you’re looking for a place to sit outdoors in the Farmingdale area and craving a Lobster Roll, Whisky Down Diner is your spot! Located right on Main Street, this location offers a delicious Lobster Roll and is the perfect first stop for exploring downtown Farmingdale.
