Coming in at #10 on our list is Love Lane Kitchen in Mattituck. They serve up a traditional Lobster Roll with homemade Maine lobster salad, mayonnaise, and celery on a buttered brioche bun with garlic herb fries. In addition to Lobster Rolls, Love Lane also offers a self serve coffee station, homemade sandwiches, soups and sauces and even dinner!

#9: Bigelow’s Fried Clams (Rockville Centre, NY)

Bigelow’s Fried Clams has been serving up fresh seafood since 1939 and has taken the #9 spot in our poll. Bigelow’s Lobster Roll’s are made to order with your choice of hot or cold (tail, knuckle & claw) served on a toasted roll. In addition, their fresh clams are famous for a reason. First, they start with a fresh product, then fry it in trans-fat-free, cholesterol-free, oil that is changed daily!

#8: Nicky’s on the Bay (Bay Shore, NY)

If you’re looking for views of the Great South Bay as you savor your Lobster Roll, Nicky’s on the Bay is the spot. Nicky’s serves their Lobster Roll on toasted brioche bun with chips and cole slaw. When researching for this article, I noticed the Lobster Roll was only on the dinner menu, not the lunch.

Next on our list, is the Lazy Lobster offering up 4 types of Lobster Rolls for your dining pleasure. In addition, they offer an “Angry Lobster Roll” which is their traditional roll with a sriracha attitude. #5: The Lobster Roll AKA LUNCH (Amagansett & South Hampton, NY)

The Lobster Roll (AKA LUNCH) started out as a roadside clam shack in 1965 and has now grown into two super busy summer locations serving up their famous Lobster Rolls. They offer a Classic Lobster Salad Roll with 100% pure, cold water lobster meat mixed with proprietary mayonnaise dressing and celery. They also serve a Hot Lobster Roll with hot, tasty chunks of claw and knuckle meat served in drawn butter with a toasted split-top bun on the side. Both Rolls come with a side of coleslaw and can be made a “special” that comes with French fries or sweet fries for an upcharge.

Whiskey Down Diner in Farmingdale comes in at #3 on our poll and is your neighborhood diner with a twist. They came so close to snagging the #2 spot and I can see why by the photo below. If you’re looking for a place to sit outdoors in the Farmingdale area and craving a Lobster Roll, Whisky Down Diner is your spot! Located right on Main Street, this location offers a delicious Lobster Roll and is the perfect first stop for exploring downtown Farmingdale.

#2: DJ’s Clam Shack (Wantagh, Huntington, & Stony Brook, NY)

The #2 spot goes to DJ’s Clam Shack for serving up tasty Lobster Rolls in 3 locations across Long Island. DJ’s serves up a Maine Lobster Roll with coleslaw, but also offers the option of an “Overstuffed” Roll. Pair that with a cup of Clam Chowder and you’re basically in New England. Coming in at #1 in a landslide is Jackson Hall in East Islip. Jackson Hall serves up 6 different styles of Lobster Rolls including your traditional “New England Roll” and “Connecticut Roll.” But here’s where they earn their number one spot…they offer 4 twists that are all unbelievable!

The Surf & Turf Roll is sautéed Maine Lobster and Filet Mignon Cubes on a toasted buttered roll. “The Fenza” Spicy Crunchy Roll is tossed in spicy mayo with Tempura crunch topped with a sweet soy glaze and chives. Jackson Hall’s Long Island Roll is sautéed with Cajun honey butter, jalapenos, and secret spices. The newest addition, is the Maryland Lobster & Crab Roll with sautéed Maine lobster and jumbo lump crab meat poached in Old Bay Garlic Butter on a toasted buttered roll.
