The Huntington Holiday Spectacular Comes to Life
Those who haven’t visited Huntington Village during the holiday season are missing one of Long Island’s newest and most festive traditions. As part of the Huntington Holiday Spectacular, Wall Street is closed to traffic and transformed into a winter wonderland featuring a towering Christmas tree, local vendor markets, live music, holiday photo opportunities, and even visits from Santa.
For New Year’s Eve, the Huntington Village Business Improvement District, in partnership with Northwell Health, is taking the celebration to new heights—literally.
A Sky-High Celebration with a Record-Breaking Drone Show
The centerpiece of the night is the Spectacular New Year’s Eve Drone Show, created by Sky Elements, a nationwide drone entertainment company that holds an impressive 16 Guinness World Record titles.
At 11:50 PM, 200 remotely controlled drones will launch more than 100 feet into the air above the parking lot across from the Huntington Post Office. For 15 minutes, spectators will watch as illuminated drones perform a choreographed display set to music. While the theme is being kept under wraps, one thing is guaranteed—a stunning countdown in the sky, offering a truly modern and unforgettable version of the classic ball drop.
Music, Dancing, and Supporting Local
The celebration doesn’t start at midnight. Beginning at 9:30 PM, a live DJ will keep the energy high, inviting guests to dance in the streets and soak in the festive atmosphere leading up to the big moment.
