The former Finley’s bar space is reborn as a cozy bookstore, café, and cocktail bar designed to bring the community together.

A new chapter has officially begun in Huntington Village. After months of anticipation, Published is now open on Green Street, transforming a once nightlife-heavy address into a warm and welcoming community hub centered around books, coffee, cocktails, and connection. The space—once known as the bar side of the former Finley’s of Green Street—has been completely reimagined. Instead of late-night crowds and pounding music, visitors will now find shelves of books, the aroma of freshly brewed espresso, craft cocktails, and a cozy environment designed for conversation and creativity.

For locals who remember the building’s previous life, the transformation is both dramatic and refreshing, marking a new era for this longtime Huntington gathering spot.

The Local Family Behind the Vision

Published is owned and operated by Angela and Brett Jurow, a husband-and-wife team who were inspired by their children’s love of reading and their own appreciation for community-centered spaces. The concept took shape after the family visited Rough Draft Bar & Books, a bookstore-bar hybrid that showed them how literature and social spaces could blend seamlessly together.

From that moment, the Jurows knew they wanted to bring something similar to Huntington—an inviting place where books and beverages could coexist and where people of all ages could gather. Now that the doors are officially open, their vision has come to life in a space that feels equal parts neighborhood bookstore, café, and relaxed cocktail lounge.

What Guests Can Expect at Published

At its core, Published is a thoughtfully curated bookstore, but the experience goes far beyond browsing the shelves. Visitors can enjoy:

A curated selection of books for readers of all ages

A full-service espresso bar serving coffee and specialty drinks

Craft beer and select wines

Classic cocktails

Light snacks designed to complement the atmosphere

The space is intentionally designed to encourage guests to linger—whether that means sipping a cappuccino with a new novel in the afternoon or meeting friends for a casual drink in the evening. The overall feeling can best be described by the Danish concept of “hygge”—a sense of warmth, comfort, and cozy contentment.

A Space Designed for Community

While the drinks and books are a major draw, the heart of Published lies in its community focus. The Jurows envision the space as a gathering place for people of all ages. Programming will include events such as:

Book clubs

Author readings and signings

Creative writing workshops

Family-friendly activities

Community events

The goal is to create a space where families, friends, and neighbors can connect—whether through shared stories, creative expression, or simply good conversation.
