The restaurant focuses on elevated comfort food, creative shareable plates, and a lively, modern atmosphere that makes it a perfect destination for date nights, group outings, or celebratory dinners.
The menu showcases bold flavors and seasonal ingredients, offering guests a wide range of exciting dishes. For main courses, diners can indulge in dishes such as the Uppercut Philly Cheese Steak, Lemon Pesto Rigatoni topped with Burrata, Chimichurri Skirt Steak, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops served over butternut risotto.

The bar program is equally impressive, featuring craft cocktails like the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, Jalapeño Margarita, and Maple Bourbon Sour. To finish the meal on a sweet note, guests can enjoy desserts like Rainbow Cookie Tartufo and Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie.
With its warm atmosphere, stylish bar area, and inventive menu, Tasting Room Kitchen & Cocktails has quickly become a popular new dining destination in the village.
Captain Ihab: Where the Sea Meets the Table
Seafood lovers now have a new reason to visit Main Street thanks to Captain Ihab, a neighborhood seafood restaurant focused on quality, simplicity, and thoughtful preparation. Built around the philosophy that great seafood should speak for itself, Captain Ihab emphasizes fresh ingredients, classic flavors, and careful attention to every dish that leaves the kitchen.
From lunch through dinner, the restaurant offers seafood prepared with balance and consistency, allowing the natural flavors of the sea to shine. Every dish is made to order, with ingredients selected specifically to highlight freshness and quality.
Beyond the menu, Captain Ihab aims to create a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy attentive service and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Whether stopping in for a casual lunch or a special evening out, the restaurant strives to deliver an experience that keeps diners returning again and again.
Pour Authority: Long Island’s First Self-Pour Beer Garden
Adding a unique twist to the village’s nightlife scene is Pour Authority, a self-pour beer garden and eatery located in the heart of downtown Farmingdale. The concept is the first of its kind on Long Island, featuring an innovative “beer wall” with 40 automated taps that allow guests to pour their own drinks and pay by the ounce.
The process is simple and interactive. Upon arrival, guests check in and receive a specialized RFID card. They can then tap the card at any of the beer wall screens, grab a glass, and pour exactly the amount they want. At the end of the visit, the card is returned and guests are charged only for what they poured, along with any food ordered.
Pour Authority is more than just a beer destination. They also serve a full food menu, allowing guests to pair their pours with a variety of bites and casual eats, making it a complete dining and social experience. The venue itself features a modern, industrial design inspired by the Long Island Rail Road, complete with railroad maps and a platform-style aesthetic.
Beyond the taps, Pour Authority also offers a lively gaming area featuring classic arcade games, shuffleboard, air hockey, and darts—making it a fun destination for groups, casual nights out, or friendly competition.
Coming Soon: Greek Table Brings Mediterranean Flavors
Even more exciting changes are on the horizon for Farmingdale. Later this year, High Tide Taco Bar will transition into a brand-new concept called Greek Table, bringing fresh Mediterranean flavors to the village. Owner Jeff Rumman shared that High Tide Taco Bar will remain open until around September before closing briefly to make way for the new restaurant. The transition is expected to have minimal downtime, with Greek Table reopening soon after renovations are complete.

The new concept will focus on fresh, fast-casual Mediterranean cuisine while still offering a comfortable dining room for guests who wish to dine in. In the meantime, fans of High Tide Taco Bar are encouraged to stop in and enjoy their favorites before the exciting transformation begins.
