For Elyse, the store’s owner, opening a boutique has been a lifelong ambition. “Having a store has been a dream of mine for 20 years,” she shares. With a background in the fashion industry, Elyse has always been drawn to the idea of a cozy store in a small town. After dedicating time to raising her daughter, now 13, she reignited her passion for opening her own business. “I got the bug for a store again the past few years and knew I needed to put my dreams in motion,” she explains. Her vision has now come to life at 745 Pulaski Road in Greenlawn, NY.
A Unique Boutique Experience
ELYSE is not your typical accessory shop. Specializing in fashion jewelry, handbags, hats, perfumes, candles, lotions & potions, the boutique is designed to inspire and indulge. She curates unique pieces, many of which are made by small businesses and not mass-produced. “I try to pick pieces that are very unique, and I only carry one of each item,” she says, ensuring that each item feels special to its new owner.
Visitors to the store are welcomed into a warm and glamorous space that Elyse describes as “like walking into the inside of my head.” The main section is designed to resemble a dream closet, complete with antique touches and a bit of glitter. The Apothecary room offers an otherworldly, witchy vibe—like finding a hidden treasure. She encourages customers to try on jewelry, test perfumes, and fully indulge in their inner diva and goddess.
The Magic of Fragrance and a Place to Lounge
For Elyse, fragrance is a particular passion. “I love my perfumes. I smelled, sourced, and tested every single one. Fragrance is the final accessory to an outfit and can completely change the way you feel. It is utter magic,” she says. ELYSE offers an array of carefully selected scents, each one with the power to transform the wearer’s mood.
The boutique also includes a lounge area—a favorite spot for Elyse and her friends, where they can relax, chat about jewelry, and enjoy each other’s company. “It’s where I hang with my friends (old and new), create looks, watch movies, have wine, and just chill,” she explains. This cozy nook is even a hangout spot for her daughter and her friends.
What’s Next for ELYSE
Looking toward the future, Elyse plans to expand her offerings and services. “I say my answer to everything is ‘yes,’” she laughs. Elyse is currently getting certified to offer permanent jewelry in the store and plans to introduce a charm bar after the holidays. She also looks forward to hosting events, including monthly “Bougie Baubles and Bubbly,” where customers can enjoy a fun and intimate shopping experience.
In addition, Elyse also offers personal shopping via video chat, making her accessible to customers no matter where they are. “Facetime, email, text, Insta, snail mail—whatever works,” she says with a smile.
A Welcoming Space for All
For Elyse, creating a space that welcomes everyone is one of her top priorities, especially for kids. “I want this to be a safe, fun space for kids,” she says. “Try the jewels on. Get excited. Maybe a spark will ignite that fuels them to love the fashion industry.” She believes in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all ages and assures that her goal is never to sell just for the sake of selling. “I want each client to walk out of my store feeling like the piece they acquired will give them pure magic and sparkle each time they wear it.”

ELYSE is open Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. The boutique is closed on Sundays, but Elyse encourages anyone to call her if they need an appointment outside of regular hours. “I can come in at any time if needed. Just call me!” she says.
