5 Course Tasting Menu that changes nightly

Guests are encouraged to inform the staff of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or strong dislikes when making a reservation, allowing the restaurant to accommodate these requirements with proper notice. The five-course tasting menu is priced at $111 per person, with suggested pairings starting at $55 per person.

The Chefs Behind the Magic

eatMOSAIC is led by two chefs whose culinary journeys have been shaped by passion, hard work, and a love for food that began at an early age.

Chef Tate Morris discovered his love for cooking in the early 1980s, when a lightbulb cake emerged from an Easy-Bake Oven. His passion for food led him from upstate New York to Long Island, where he graduated from The French Culinary Institute and began an apprenticeship under the renowned Chef Guy Reuge at the iconic restaurant Mirabelle.

Tate’s dedication and talent saw him rise to the position of Chef de Cuisine, where he first met his future business partner, Jonathan Contes. Together, they would go on to open eatMOSAIC, creating a restaurant that allows them to expand their creativity and push culinary boundaries. Today, nearly 15 years later, Tate’s passion for cooking remains as strong as ever, and though you’ll rarely see him in the dining room, his influence is felt in every dish.

Chef Jonathan Contes grew up surrounded by family, food, and faith, with a Greek father and Puerto Rican mother who instilled in him a deep love for flavor and culture. His culinary journey began early, helping in the kitchen and eventually cooking for his own enjoyment. Jonathan’s natural curiosity led him to immerse himself in the study of food, wine, and the culinary arts, and in 2003, he sought a position at Mirabelle.

Although initially turned away due to his lack of formal experience, Jonathan’s persistence paid off, and he earned a spot in the kitchen under Chef Guy Reuge. This experience honed his skills and prepared him for a lifelong career in the culinary world. With the support of his family and business partner, Tate Morris, Jonathan has helped turn eatMOSAIC into a beloved destination for food lovers seeking a truly unique dining experience.

eatMOSAIC is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 5:30 PM. Due to the ever-changing nature of the menu and the restaurant’s intimate setting, reservations are highly recommended. To request a reservation, please call 631-584-2058.
