For over 70 years, Fink’s Country Farm has been a cherished destination on Long Island, offering a blend of seasonal activities, fresh produce, and family-friendly fun. As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, Fink’s Fall Harvest Fest invites families to enjoy the magic of autumn weekends throughout October. Known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere, Fink’s Country Farm continues to be the go-to spot for all things fall.

A Day at Fink’s Fall Harvest Fest

The Fall Harvest Fest runs every weekend through October 27th, with additional dates on October 3rd, 4th, and Columbus Day Monday. From 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, families can dive into a world of autumnal adventures, with tickets priced at $23 per person (for ages 3 and up), while children 2 and under get in for free. Seniors (65+) and military, law enforcement, and firefighters also enjoy discounted entry at $21. For one price, guests have access to unlimited hayrides, a thrilling corn maze, and countless other farm attractions that will keep the entire family entertained all day long.

One of the highlights of the festival is the animatronic chicken show, a quirky and charming performance sure to entertain visitors of all ages. Animal lovers can spend time with the friendly creatures at Barnyard Buddies, while thrill-seekers can slide down the towering combine slide or bounce on the jump pillow. Visitors can also take a ride on pedal carts or enjoy a family-friendly race with the farm’s hamster wheels. Live music from 12 to 4 PM adds to the festive atmosphere, providing the perfect soundtrack to a day of farmyard fun.

In addition to the classic activities, Fink’s Fall Harvest Fest offers something for everyone. There are tractor pulls, tricycle, and plenty of interactive play areas for the little ones to burn off energy. Character appearances from 11 AM to 4 PM bring an extra touch of magic to the farm experience, with children excitedly meeting their favorite farm characters.

Extras That Make It Special

For families looking to enhance their experience, there are additional attractions available for a small fee. These include the apple cannon, which allows guests to try their hand at aiming for targets with freshly picked apples, and the ever-popular pony rides from 10 AM to 4 PM. Little adventurers will love mining for treasures at the mining station, and the kiddie train provides a perfect way for the younger ones to explore the farm. Don’t miss the chance to feed the farm animals or enjoy a warm cob of roasted corn for the ultimate fall snack.

Nightlife on the Farm: 2024 Spooky Corn Maze

For those looking for a bit of nighttime adventure, Fink’s offers the Spooky Corn Maze on Saturday, October 26th, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Bring your flashlight and brave the eerie twists and turns of the maze, or sit by the fireside and enjoy live music by 1STEP AHEAD. This unique nighttime experience is open to all ages, making it a fun yet spooky outing for the whole family. With the last entrance at 9:30 PM, be sure to arrive early for an evening of thrills and chills.

A Farm for All Season

Beyond the Fall Harvest Fest, Fink’s Country Farm is open from April through December, offering fresh produce, plants, flowers, and more at their beloved farm stand. Visitors can also enjoy the barnyard area, filled with friendly animals and hands-on activities from May through December. Whether you’re visiting for the season’s freshest fruits and vegetables or to browse the beautiful yard decorations and fall-inspired items, Fink’s is a destination where tradition meets fun.

Melissa Farrell has a mission to support local business by "Going Local." As a local business owner herself, she understands the struggles entrepreneurs face when owning a business and is always trying to find ways to shine a spotlight onto them. Melissa started Going Local Tours & Experiences back in 2020 during the pandemic in hopes to bring people back into local restaurants and shops. She created food tours in Huntington, NY that would stop at 3-4 local businesses and gave the guests the chance to meet the owner and hear the story behind the business. She soon realized how powerful storytelling is when connecting people to local businesses and created options with local store owners as well to bring them onto the tour to share their story. Melissa wanted to expand out of Huntington to be able to support even more local businesses and started creating luxury picnics where she would bring local to you! She would find local businesses in the area of the picnic set up and deliver it to you offering ways to support over 3 local businesses at each picnic. This wasn't enough. She wanted to find a better way to help spread awareness of local businesses and share their stories. Enter Evangeline Knell...a woman with over 30 years of broadcasting experience who somehow convinced Melissa to host a 3 day live stream from the Huntington Fall Festival. She had never been on camera before, but working alongside Evie to create the 3 shows, gave Melissa the confidence to take on the challenge. The 3 shows produced focused on the local vendors, the food trucks and the events that occurred at the festival and had a much larger reach than Melissa could ever of done on her own. They soon realized a business partnership was needed and combined their two businesses, Identity Digital which is a production company and Going Local Tours and Experiences to form Going Local Media. Evie and Melissa even formed their own distribution outlet by creating Going Local TV, a streaming platform like Netflix or YouTube, that is all about local businesses, events and organizations on Long Island. There are over 200 videos including their podcast series "Let's Get Local" "Long Island Business Minds" and "Local Business Spotlight" that help spread awareness of our local businesses and Long Island Professionals.
