A Night of Courage, Beauty, and Community in Support of Those Facing Medical Hair Loss
On October 9, 2025, Hair We Share will host its 12th Annual Gala at the elegant Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. The nonprofit, dedicated to providing customized, real-hair wigs to individuals experiencing medical hair loss, is inviting the community to come together for an evening filled with inspiration, storytelling, and impact.
Proceeds from the event will go directly toward wig production, recipient outreach, and donor engagement—helping ensure that every donated ponytail fulfills its purpose.
Honoring Courage and Compassion at the Hair We Share 12th Annual Gala
This year’s Gala will shine a spotlight on four extraordinary honorees who embody the mission of Hair We Share:
Jennifer, a heart transplant survivor, whose anti-rejection medication caused hair loss. Her journey—from receiving her first properly fitted wig to stepping onto the red carpet—will be shared through a moving video series culminating at the Gala.
Jo Marie, founder of Jo Hair & Beauty, will be honored for her tireless support and styling expertise, empowering recipients to feel beautiful and confident at every stage of their journey.
Dr. Irena Karanetz, board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Evolve Plastic Surgery, will be recognized for her compassionate care of breast cancer patients, helping restore dignity and confidence with both skill and empathy.
Chef Michael Landesberg, a male breast cancer survivor and advocate, has raised more than $42,000 through his impactful “All Boobs Matter” fundraiser. His mantra, “Courtesy is contagious; pay it forward,” perfectly embodies the Gala’s spirit of healing and advocacy.

Guests can expect a memorable night filled with dinner, dancing, raffles, and heartfelt tributes. The Gala is more than a celebration—it is a chance to stand with those facing medical hair loss and to contribute to a mission that changes lives.
“This Gala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a tribute to courage, connection, and the power of choice,” says Suzanne, co-founder of Hair We Share. “Every wig we create is a symbol of hope, and every dollar raised helps us say ‘you are not alone’ to someone facing medical hair loss.”
