Why Supporting Local Means Supporting Schools, Sports, and Families
Local businesses are more than just places to grab a meal, shop, or connect with neighbors. They’re the heartbeat of a community, providing jobs, creating a sense of familiarity, and—most importantly—pouring resources back into the towns they serve.
One of the biggest ways this happens is through their unwavering support of local schools and sports teams. From sponsorships to fundraisers, these small businesses help shape opportunities for the next generation.
A Perfect Example: Jackson Hall & the Ignite Soccer Team
On Friday, August 29, from 2 PM to 5 PM, Jackson Hall American Bar & Grill in East Islip is proving just how much local businesses matter. Chef Mike Landesberg and the team at Jackson Hall are hosting a lemonade stand fundraiser in support of the EISC G2015 Ignite Soccer Team. The players themselves will be running the stand, giving the community a chance to meet the young athletes while showing support.
What makes this fundraiser even more impactful? Jackson Hall has pledged to match every dollar raised up to $500—doubling the team’s fundraising power.
📍 Location: Jackson Hall American Bar & Grill, 335 E. Main Street, East Islip

It’s no surprise Jackson Hall continues to be such a beloved spot on Long Island. Known for its viral lobster rolls and indulgent lobster bombs, the restaurant has built its reputation on great food and great community spirit.
Why This Matters
Events like this remind us that when we support local businesses, we’re also supporting the causes closest to home. Whether it’s school programs, youth sports, or community projects, local businesses are often the first to step up and say yes.
Without them, many of these opportunities simply wouldn’t exist.
Support Each Other, Grow Together
Jackson Hall’s generosity highlights a simple truth: strong communities are built when we invest in each other. By choosing to dine at local restaurants, shop at local stores, and use local services, we keep this cycle of support alive.
So next time you’re out and about, remember—supporting a local business means you’re also supporting your neighbors, your schools, and your community’s future.

Let’s continue to applaud and uplift the businesses that keep Long Island thriving.
