Long Island’s gaming scene is shifting into high gear with the launch of the Long Island Gaming League’s (LIGL) first-ever Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament. This 12-week league promises to deliver thrilling competition and foster a strong sense of community among local gamers.

The LIGL, known for its “Unique Gaming Experiences” (UGE), has partnered with Great South Bay Brewery to host this exciting event. “We’re thrilled to bring together Long Island’s gaming enthusiasts in a fun and challenging environment,” said a representative from LIGL. “This league is more than just a tournament; it’s about building friendships and enjoying the camaraderie of competitive play.”

The league, which kicks off on Tuesday, April 1, is held at the The Great South Bay Brewery at 147 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst, and offers participants a unique blend of the unique, fair-competition racing that only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can provide, coupled with craft beer enjoyment. The LIGL’s bar takeover events are designed to create a vibrant social atmosphere, allowing gamers to connect with like-minded individuals while showcasing their skills on the track.
