The aroma of fresh-roasted beans just got a permanent place to settle in Huntington Station. Nautilus Roasting Co., a beloved presence at local farmers markets, has officially opened its first brick-and-mortar location at 1000 New York Avenue, Unit A, Huntington Station, NY—bringing bold brews, cozy vibes, and creative flair to Long Island’s coffee scene.

Whether you’re hopping on the train and need a quick caffeine fix or looking for a new hangout spot, Nautilus Roasting Co. offers a warm, welcoming space where every detail is steeped in personality.

Coffee Meets Creativity at Nautilus Roasting Co.

Walk inside Nautilus and you’ll find more than just coffee—you’ll step into a space that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly hip. Painted murals adorn the walls, antique-style furniture like bookcases and hutches line the cozy corners, and soft, quirky lighting from fun lamps sets the mood. Each table feels like its own little vignette, perfect for reading, chatting, working, or simply enjoying a hot cup of coffee.

And yes, there’s even a bookcase filled with games, inviting guests to linger longer.

But while the atmosphere draws you in, it’s the coffee that will keep you coming back. Known for their small-batch roasting and rich, flavorful blends, Nautilus serves up everything from cold brew and hot coffee to a growing selection of baked goods, donuts, and pastries.

A Familiar Name from the Farmers Market Circuit

Nautilus Roasting Co. may be new to the brick-and-mortar scene, but their beans have been a fan favorite across Long Island for years. Many locals may recognize them from seasonal farmers markets. Here is there summer schedule for 2025:

Fridays, May 16 – Oct 24: Three Village Market

Saturdays, May 3 – Oct 18: Sayville Farmers Market

Sundays, June 1 – Oct 26: Babylon Farmers Market

Fans of their roasts can now enjoy the same high-quality coffee in a dedicated space designed with community and comfort in mind.

Opening Week Schedule

Nautilus launched with a soft opening on Tuesday, July 1, and shared this playful note via Instagram:

“We’ll be slinging cold brew, hot coffee, and baked goods! This will be the first time we’re operating for customers and not just hosting buddies – so it might take a minute to get your order but we think it will be worth the wait.”

Current soft opening hours:

Tuesday, July 1: 6 AM – 2 PM

Wednesday, July 2: 6 AM – 2 PM

Thursday, July 3: 6 AM – 12 PM

Friday, July 4: Closed

Saturday, July 5: 6 AM – 4 PM

Sunday, July 6: 6 AM – 4 PM

Monday, July 7 & Tuesday, July 8: Closed

Regular hours are expected to be Wednesday–Sunday, with hopes to expand to seven days a week based on demand.

Melissa Farrell has a mission to support local business by "Going Local." As a local business owner herself, she understands the struggles entrepreneurs face when owning a business and is always trying to find ways to shine a spotlight onto them. Melissa started Going Local Tours & Experiences back in 2020 during the pandemic in hopes to bring people back into local restaurants and shops. She created food tours in Huntington, NY that would stop at 3-4 local businesses and gave the guests the chance to meet the owner and hear the story behind the business. She soon realized how powerful storytelling is when connecting people to local businesses and created options with local store owners as well to bring them onto the tour to share their story. Melissa wanted to expand out of Huntington to be able to support even more local businesses and started creating luxury picnics where she would bring local to you! She would find local businesses in the area of the picnic set up and deliver it to you offering ways to support over 3 local businesses at each picnic. This wasn't enough. She wanted to find a better way to help spread awareness of local businesses and share their stories. Enter Evangeline Knell...a woman with over 30 years of broadcasting experience who somehow convinced Melissa to host a 3 day live stream from the Huntington Fall Festival. She had never been on camera before, but working alongside Evie to create the 3 shows, gave Melissa the confidence to take on the challenge. The 3 shows produced focused on the local vendors, the food trucks and the events that occurred at the festival and had a much larger reach than Melissa could ever of done on her own. They soon realized a business partnership was needed and combined their two businesses, Identity Digital which is a production company and Going Local Tours and Experiences to form Going Local Media. Evie and Melissa even formed their own distribution outlet by creating Going Local TV, a streaming platform like Netflix or YouTube, that is all about local businesses, events and organizations on Long Island. There are over 200 videos including their podcast series "Let's Get Local" "Long Island Business Minds" and "Local Business Spotlight" that help spread awareness of our local businesses and Long Island Professionals.
