Fresh dining, exciting concepts, and upcoming openings are giving this Long Island village even more reasons to visit

Babylon Village has long been a favorite destination on Long Island for dining, shopping, and nightlife, but a wave of new businesses is adding fresh energy to the already vibrant community. From creative gastropubs and fast-casual eateries to brunch destinations and innovative sports concepts, these newcomers are helping redefine the local scene. Whether residents are looking for a new go-to restaurant or visitors are planning their next outing, these spots are worth adding to the list.

Babylon Social—A New Chapter at a Familiar Address

Taking over the former Horace & Sylvia’s space at 100 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon Social had big expectations to meet—and has quickly proven up to the task.

The contemporary gastropub blends a relaxed yet trendy atmosphere with a menu that balances comfort food and global inspiration. Known for creative brick-oven pizzas, craft cocktails, and shareable plates, the restaurant features standout items like Mexican street corn pizza and truffle fries paired with Caesar salad.

Its welcoming vibe makes it ideal for anyone looking for a fun night out.

Roast Sandwich House—Quality Fast Casual Arrives

Roast Sandwich House recently opened its sixth Long Island location in Babylon, bringing its chef-driven fast-casual concept to the village. Founded in 2010 by Chef Joseph Cordaro, the eatery focuses on restaurant-quality food served quickly without sacrificing freshness or flavor.

The menu highlights all-natural roasted meats, fresh produce, artisanal breads, and housemade condiments. With antibiotic-free poultry, Certified Angus Beef, and made-to-order sandwiches, salads, soups, and sides, Roast has built a reputation for elevating everyday comfort food.

La Bottega – Italian Fast Casual with Heart

Family-owned La Bottega continues its Long Island expansion with a Babylon location, offering a fast-casual Italian experience rooted in tradition but inspired by modern flavors.

Known for paninis, pastas, salads, and pizzas, the restaurant emphasizes fresh ingredients and balanced meals while maintaining authentic Italian flair. Since launching in 2003, La Bottega has grown to multiple locations by creating a cozy gathering space where friends and families can enjoy quality food in a relaxed setting.

Millie’s Mimosa House & Eatery—Brunch Done Right

Located in the heart of Babylon Village, Millie’s Mimosa House & Eatery has quickly become a go-to brunch destination. The Hampton-inspired interior sets a stylish yet welcoming tone, while the menu delivers creative brunch favorites alongside specialty coffee and an extensive mimosa selection.

Popular dishes include Crab Benedict, Maui French Toast, and Short Rib Tacos, with vegetarian and organic options also available. More than just a brunch spot, Millie’s aims to create a place where guests can gather, celebrate, and unwind.

Courtside Sport & Social—Dining Meets Pickleball

One of Babylon’s most unique new concepts, Courtside Sport & Social has taken over the former Pekin Long Island location at 96 East Main Street. The venue blends sports bar dining with the growing popularity of pickleball, with a court behind the restaurant.

Since opening in January 2026, the menu has drawn attention for comfort-driven favorites like crispy wings, chicken sandwiches, and the highly recommended bloomin’ shallots served with roasted garlic ranch. Guests can also enjoy small plates, vegetarian and vegan options, and even playful “adult happy meal” specials.

Coming Soon: Whiskey Down Diner

Another anticipated addition is Whiskey Down Diner, expanding from Farmingdale to a second location at 175 East Main Street. Set to open in 2026 in the former Ristorante Gemelli space, the modern diner concept will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner alongside curated cocktails and alcoholic beverages.

The expansion is expected to bring a fresh twist on classic diner fare to Babylon Village.

New Babylon Businesses Worth Checking out

With new restaurants, innovative dining concepts, and more openings on the horizon, Babylon Village continues to evolve as one of Long Island’s most exciting destinations. Whether it’s brunch with friends, a casual lunch, craft cocktails, or a new sports-centric dining experience, there’s something fresh waiting to be discovered.
