Pony Rides, Costume Contests, Trunk or Treat, and More Await on October 26th
Farmingdale’s Main Street will come alive with Halloween magic as families and friends gather for the annual Farmingdale Halloween Parade on October 26, 2024, from 1pm to 4pm. This free community event promises a day full of fun for all ages, featuring a festive parade, pony rides, a petting zoo, live music, a costume contest, and Trunk or Treat. Hosted by the Village of Farmingdale, the Farmingdale Business Improvement District, and the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, the event is a perfect way to celebrate the spooky season in style!
The Farmingdale Halloween Parade: Costumes and Community
1 PM: Main Street
The Halloween Parade kicks off at 1pm, with marchers assembling in the parking lot behind Wings, across from Moby Drugs, starting at 12:45 PM for photos and line-up. Families, friends, and groups of all ages are invited to dress in their best costumes and march down Main Street. The parade will proceed south along Main Street, concluding at the Village Green (361 Main St). Spectators can line the streets to cheer on participants and soak in the festive atmosphere as the town showcases its Halloween spirit.
Family Fun on the Village Green
1pm– 4pm: Village Green
Once the parade reaches the Village Green, the real fun begins! A variety of activities will be available for children and families to enjoy. Pony rides and a petting zoo will provide entertainment for animal lovers, while face painting and live music will add to the festive atmosphere. The highlight for many will be the costume contest, where participants can show off their creativity and compete for prizes.
Trunk or Treat: A Sweet Finale
Behind the Fire House
Trick-or-treating fun continues with the popular Trunk or Treat event, sponsored by Coldwell Banker. Behind the Fire House, decorated car trunks will be filled with candy for kids to collect in a safe and fun environment. It’s a great way to enjoy some sweet treats while admiring the creativity of the Farmingdale community.
