Persian Plates Done Right at Turquoise Persian Grill & Bar
Turquoise Persian Grill & Bar, tucked in Roslyn, brings bold, comforting, and crave-worthy Persian cuisine to Long Island. This spot blends Iranian tradition with modern charm in the most delicious way, with dishes that feel both familiar and unexpected. Think fragrant rice, slow-marinated meats, fresh herbaceous dips, and a chic, turquoise-accented dining room that makes every plate pop.
What Makes Turquoise Stand Out
Turquoise Persian Grill & Bar skewers to perfection, and grills with intention. From saffron chicken wings to salmon skewers to a mixed grill platter that had the whole table digging in, every skewer delivered on flavor and tenderness.
But what really sets them apart is how they combine the boldness of Persian spices with the approachability of dishes anyone can enjoy. Add in fragrant rice, creamy dips, fresh salads, and a sweet finale of Persian ice cream and pastries, and you’ve got a spread worth talking about. Not only were the flavors there, but the presentation and spread size will leave you not knowing where to begin.
dEATS
Starters:
Wheat Pita with White Dip: (complimentary): light warm pita (that didn’t leave you stuffed before your main) served with a refreshing white dip (think yogurt‑dill) that left me craving more. It was so delicious I ordered more dip to pair with the food items coming ahead!

Turquoise Beet Salad: A colorful medley of beets, chickpeas, tomatoes, olives, barrel-aged feta, walnuts, and cucumbers tossed in red wine vinaigrette. It was a balance of sweet, salty, crunchy that was chopped with perfection.
Avocado Dip: Creamy, herby, and just tangy enough. Think Persian-style guac for the table! It’s ideal for friends who like to keep it simple but still flavorful.

Saffron Chicken: Golden, juicy, fall-off-the-bone wings marinated in saffron, lemon, and garlic. Packed with flavor, these are a must order!

Sides:
Sabzi Polo: Herbed basmati rice with dill and cilantro. A simple dish, elevated with intention. The flavors were fresh, fragrant, and the best companion to your kabob platter.
Saffron Rice: Each bite of the basmati rice is infused with saffron flavors.
Torshi: Pickled vegetables marinated in aged vinegar and spices. Sour, crisp, and refreshingly tangy, creating the perfect bite to cut through the richness of the grill.

The Main Event – THE Kababs:
Combo Kabab Platter: Ground lamb & veal koobideh, marinated filet, and juicy chicken, all grilled to smoky, savory perfection and served family-style.
Each kabab was tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right — bold without overpowering. Served with fragrant basmati rice, grilled tomatoes, and onions, this platter is a celebration of flavor, texture, and tradition all in one. OH…and the presentation still leaves me in awe.

Grilled Salmon Kabab: A light take for those still wanting to experience the kabobs. Perfect for seafood lovers or anyone craving something fresh, clean, and still full of flavor.

Dessert
Batani: Truly one of the most unique desserts I have ever ordered. An unexpected mix of homemade ice cream infused with saffron, rosewater, and pistachios creating a combination of floral, creamy, and nutty flavors you don’t find in your average ice cream shop.
Baklava: Layers of crisp phyllo soaked in syrupy sweetness and finished with crushed nuts. Each bite was flaky, nutty, and just the right amount of sweet.
Cream Puffs: Delicate, airy and filled with a light custard-style crem.
