Long Island Fair
When: September 13th-15th
Time: 10:00am-5:00pm
Where: 1303 Round Swamp Rd., Old Bethpage
What to Expect: Dating back to 1842, the Long Island Fair in Old Bethpage is one of the nation’s oldest agricultural traditions. With exhibits, stunt shows, competitions, magic shows, and delicious food, this is a must-visit event for families. $20 adults; $15 seniors and kids 5-12; under 5 free
Hicks Nurseries Fall Festival
When: September 14th-October 27th
Time: Weekends 10:00am-5:00pm
Where: Hicks Nurseries 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury, NY
What to Expect: From September 14th through October 27th, Hicks Nurseries invites families to experience their Fall Festival with free parking and admission. Weekend activities include an outdoor hay maze, pumpkin painting, sand art, and more. It’s a perfect way to spend the weekend enjoying autumn-themed fun.
Garlic Fest
When: September 14th & 15th
Time: 10:00am-5:00pm
Where: Waterdrinker North Fork 4560 Sound Ave., Riverhead, NY
What to Expect: Celebrate the harvest at Waterdrinker Farm’s Garlic Festival in Riverhead. There will be live music, a vendor market, food trucks, family activities and garlicky goodness. Admission is $20 per person and includes Jumbo Jump Pad, Mini Golf, Wooden Playground, Tractor Pedal Cars, Barnyard Animals, Bull Riding Pen, and photo ops. In addition, there will be a garlic scavenger hunt!
Heritage Country Fair
When: September 15th
Time: 12:00pm-4:00pm
Where: 239 Middle Country Rd., Smithtown (Fair entrance is located at 211 E Main St in Smithtown)
What to Expect: The Smithtown Historical Society’s Heritage Country Fair offers a step back in time, featuring historical reenactments, an antique car show, petting zoo, pony rides, and a vendor market, food trucks and and children activities and crafts. Parking is available across the street at 222 E Main Street in Smithtown $7 general admission; under 3 free, attendees in period attire are free!
White Post Farms Fall Festival
When: September 21st-October 27th
Time: 10:00am-4:00pm
Where: 250 Old Country Rd., Melville.
What to expect: From September 21st to October 27th, White Post Farms’ Fall Festival will keep kids entertained with live performances, hay rides, petting zoos, a giraffe experience, and more. Admission tickets are available for purchase online and only cash is accepted at the farm. $37.95
Cow Harbor Day
When: September 22nd
Time: 12:00pm-5:00pm
Where: 158 Laurel Ave., Northport
What to Expect: Join the fun at Northport’s Cow Harbor Day, where the festivities include a parade, boat decorating, and a boat race. Local vendors will be out in full force to make this a perfect family day. Admission is Free.
The Long Island Fall Festival
When: Friday October 11th-Monday October 14th
Time: Fri: 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sat & Sun: 11:00am-10:00pm, Mon: 11:00am-5:00pm
Where: Hecksher Park (and surrounding areas) in Huntington, NY
What to Expect: The Long Island Fall Festival is presented by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and is the largest on Long Island. This event will take place both inside and outside of Hecksher Park. Inside the park you’ll find local vendors, some of Long Island’s best Food Trucks, the best carnival rides supplied by Newton Shows, games and live entertainment on the Chapin Stage all weekend long. Don’t miss the Meatball Eating Competition and make sure to check out all of the local vendors surrounding the outside of the park as well! Admission is free.
Freeport Memorial Library Fall Festival
When: Saturday October 26th
Time: 11:00am-3:00pm
Where: 144 West Merrick Road, Freeport, NY
What to Expect: This Fall Festival is geared toward children up to grade 12. There will be pumpkin painting, cotton candy, a petting zoo, carnival games, and a video game truck! Admission is free.
