There’s something about Farmers Markets that really warms my heart. Maybe it’s because you meet the people behind the business or because you see first hand the passion and drive these entrepreneur’s possess and it can be so inspiring. Or maybe it’s because you leave with home made goods or delicious food! Whatever it is, I love a good Farmers Market.

Long Island is home to tons of Farmers Markets and to help spread awareness of them, Going Local has created a list of some of the best ones on the island for you to visit. Below you will find the name, location and days and times they are open.

Farmers Markets in Suffolk County

The Long Island Farmers Market

The Long Island Farmers Market offers two locations in Huntington Village and Babylon and will be open June 2nd-November 24th, 2024. The Huntington market is located in the Elm Street parking lot in the village and the Babylon market is located 244 West Main Street. Both locations are open on Sundays from 8:00am-12:30pm rain or shine. For more information, click HERE!

Northport Farmer’s Market

The Northport Farmers Market is located in the park area by the harbor in Northport Village. It is a beautiful space and a great way to spend a Saturday morning. They are open on Saturdays from 8am-12:30pm up until November 19th rain or shine. For more information, click HERE!

Westhampton Beach Farmers Market

The Westhampton Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 9am-1pm on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach. They offer over 60 vendors, growers and producers providing locally grown, caught and homemade items! For more information, click HERE!

Port Jefferson Farmers Market

The Port Jefferson Farmers Market takes place on Sundays from 9am-2pm located at the Port Jefferson Village Center (101 E Broadway, Port Jefferson). You’ll find local vendors both inside and outside the Village Center so make sure to cover all areas! For more information, click HERE!

East End Farmers Markets

East End Farmers Markets offers up 4 locations and offers markets on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. On Thursday, head to the East End Farmers Market in Amagansett from 2:30pm-5:30pm (until September 5th) located at 154 Main Street, Amagansett.

On Friday mornings, head to East Hampton for the market from 9am-1pm (until September 6th) located at 60 Spinner Lane. In addition, on Friday afternoons from 3pm-6pm you’ll find the East End Farmers Market in Bridgehampton (until September 27th) at Hayground School (151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton). On Saturdays, you’ll find the market in Sag Harbor (until October 26th) at Bay and Burke in front of the Breakwater Yacht Club from 9am-1pm.

South Shore Farmers Market

The Bay Shore Farmers Market takes place on Sundays from 9am-1pm from June 16th-October 13th at 80 East Main Street. This market offers up artisinal foods and local vendors at the Bandshell around the Gazebo on Main Street in Bay Shore. For more information, click HERE!

Patchogue Outdoor Market

The Patchogue Outdoor Market takes place on Sundays from 9am-2pm at the Patchogue Train Station on South Ocean Ave/Division Street. They offer fresh produce, baked goods, handmade local art, food trucks and weekly guest vendors. They also are pet friendly! For more information, click HERE!

Farmers Markets in Nassau County

Deep Roots Farmers Market

The Deep Roots Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 9am-1pm (rain or shine) at Garvies Point Park, Garvie Point Rd, Glen Cove. Garvies Point Park is right on the waterfront with a beautiful promenade as well as a dog park, boat ramp and beach!

There is plentiful parking at the Ferry Terminal Parking lot, located just on the other side of the Beacon Condo. If you are able, park there and take a short 4 minute walk along the promenade to get to the market! There is also on-street parking available as well. Bathrooms are located on the promenade near the dog park and Ferry Terminal as well as at the boat ramp.

Deep Roots Market

Long Beach Farmers Market

The Long Beach Farmers Market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am-2pm at Kennedy Plaza in Long Beach. They offer fresh produce, coffee, pickles, artisan cheese, baked bread, cookies and so much more! This market is open from May 1st-November 23rd. For more information, click HERE!

New Hyde Park Farmers Market: Fridays 7am-1pm at New Hyde Park Rd and Marcus Ave in New Hyde Park

Rockville Centre Farmers Market: Sundays 7am-12pm at 510 Sunrise Highway (south side) across from the Rockville Centre GMC dealer

Roslyn Farmers Market: Wednesdays 7am-1pm at Christopher Morley Park, 500 Searington Road in Roslyn.
