The Water Lantern Festival is returning to Long Island on September 7, 2024, promising an evening of enchantment and community spirit. This unique event, held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY, offers attendees an unforgettable experience where thousands of lanterns will light up the water, creating a breathtaking spectacle of hope and unity.

The gates to the festival will open at 4:30 PM, kicking off an evening filled with live music, food trucks, and activities designed to bring people together. The fun continues throughout the evening, with attendees encouraged to design their own lanterns starting at 7:00 PM. As the sun sets, the real magic begins with the Lantern Launch between 7:30 and 8:30 PM, where participants will release their personalized lanterns onto the water, creating a serene and beautiful display.

The Water Lantern Festival is a family-friendly event, welcoming individuals of all ages to come together and share in the joy and peace that the event fosters. Whether you’re attending with family, friends, or meeting new people, the festival is an opportunity to create lasting memories.

Ticket Information for The Water Lantern Festival

Adult Regular Admission: $28.99 (Available until August 21, 2024)

Late Admission: $45.99 (Available until September 6, 2024)

Day of Admission: $55.99 (September 7, 2024)

Youth tickets and other options are also available. All adult tickets include entry to the festival, a floating lantern kit, an LED candle, a commemorative drawstring bag, and additional festival materials such as conversation cards, playing cards, and markers for decorating the lanterns.

All lanterns are made from eco-friendly materials like rice paper and wood, and after the event, the dedicated staff will retrieve the lanterns and clean up any other debris in and around the water.
