Long Island Fall Festival Happening Columbus Day Weekend!
The 30th Annual Long Island Fall Festival in Huntington’s Heckscher Park is coming up this weekend, and the weather forecast is looking great for all 4 days!
The Festival this year, presented by the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, runs on Friday, October 11th from 5pm to 10pm, with the Opening Ceremony taking place at 7pm on the Harry Chapin stage. Each weekend day features a full marathon on activities, fun, and events, with the Festival open from 11am to 10pm each day.
Admission is FREE, which includes all entertainment throughout the park and on the Harry Chapin Stage, with the opportunity to purchase food, explore the vendors, or ride the rides which take over the entire back half of the park, featuring an extensive set of rides for all ages (and stomach constitutions!) from Newton Shows.

Long Island Fall Festival Information
The Huntington Chamber will have an information tent open for your questions throughout the event. The tent is located in Chamber Circle, which is just across from the Heckscher Museum cottage. The tent will also have a free program guide to take with you.
Wayfinding signs will also be placed throughout the park at major intersections to guide you to the major locations (includng the beer tent!)
Vendor Booths & Tents
Local craft vendors and organizations take over the perimeter around Heckscher Park on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-6pm, with tents extending the length of Madison and Prime Avenues in Huntington. Vendors and Long Island Organizations will also be set up inside Heckscher park all four days.
Beer!
Six Harbors Brewing Company is back hosting the beer garden this year, which is located on the Main Street side of the park, featuring many of their craft beers on tap inside the tent. The tent opens at 11am each day. Look for their large mile post!
Parking & Shuttle
Parking is available throughout the town in their parking lots or through legal street parking. If you want to avoid the village parking crush, HART shuttle busses are available on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am-6:15 pm for a $2 round trip fare, which will have regular shuttle service from the Huntington LIRR station near the station house, and drop off at corner locations just outside Heckscher Park. Parking for the handicapped is available in the Cinema Arts Centre parking lot.
Rides & Carnival Games
Rides and the carnival midway run from 5pm-10pm on Friday, 11am-9pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 11am-5pm on Monday.
Pay-One-Price bracelets, which are good for an entire day, are $35.99, and can be purchased online or at the festival’s self-serve ticket kiosks. Representatives from the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce will be on hand through the festival to assist you.
A pre-show ride bracelet discount of $10 is available on the Newton Shows website, with the discount offer available up to 5 hours before the opening of the festival each day.

Activities for Kids at the Long Island Fall Festival
The Heckscher Museum of Art Museum Terrace will have free art activities for kids on Saturday and Sunday from noon-4pm
Magic Shows
In addition, there will be Free magic shows performed on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at noon, 2pm, and 4pm in the carnival midway area.
Live Entertainment & Meatballs!
The Harry Chapin stage will be busy each day of the festival. This year’s meatball eating contest, previously held in the carnival area, will be held this year front and center on the Chapin stage.

Order Sons & Daughters of Italy Columbus Day Parade
This year’s Huntington Columbus Day Parade, presented by the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America features Doug Geed as one of this year’s Grand Marshals. The parade will run in a new route this year, starting at 11am on Sunday, October 13th from Main Street and Clinton Avenue, marching towards Heckscher Park.
