Local businesses unite to help beloved Islip pub after devastating kitchen fire

Harp & Hound, a cherished Irish pub located at 528 Main Street in Islip, recently suffered a kitchen fire that forced the restaurant to close until further notice. Known for its warm hospitality, comforting Irish classics, piled-high sandwiches, and perfectly poured pints, Harp & Hound has long been a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

But since the fire, the pub’s dedicated staff has been out of work — and the community is stepping up in a big way to help them get back on their feet.

Local businesses are proving once again that when one establishment faces hardship, others rise to help — a sentiment that reflects the heart and soul of the community.

Going Local Long Island is proud to highlight these efforts and encourages residents to attend these upcoming events. By supporting Lily’s, Goody Two Shoes, and ultimately the Harp & Hound staff, locals can make a real difference during a difficult time.

Harp & Hound has brought joy, great food, and warm memories to countless guests over the years. Now, they need the community they’ve served so well to rally around them.
