The Huntington Historical Society is the focal point for preserving the ongoing heritage of the Town of Huntington. We support this mission through public education programs, maintaining museums, collections and a regional research center; promoting the preservation of historic buildings and sites; and by partnering with local and regional institutions.

For over 120 years, the Huntington Historical Society has worked to preserve and share the vibrant history of the Town of Huntington. Our aim is to preserve and share the history of the Town of Huntington. The society maintains five national register historic properties, which include two historic house museums and one museum and exhibition space, in addition to an extensive resource center and archives in our main office building. We promote the town’s history by holding educational festivals, a lecture series, historic tours, school programs, and museum exhibits.

Hours of Operation:

Main office: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Huntington’s History and Decorative Arts Museum at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Building: Tuesday – Sunday, 12 PM – 4 PM
