An affordable, delicious way to support local restaurants from January 25–February 1, 2026
One of Long Island’s most anticipated dining events is back. Winter Long Island Restaurant Week returns from January 25 through February 1, 2026, giving food lovers the perfect excuse to dine out, discover new restaurants, and support the local hospitality industry during the slower winter season. With prix-fixe menus offered at exceptional values, this week-long event celebrates Long Island’s diverse culinary scene while helping local restaurants and their staff thrive.
What Is Long Island Restaurant Week?
Long Island Restaurant Week is a tri-annual dining event created to generate positive publicity and increased business for restaurants across the region. First launched in 2006 as a fall promotion, the program expanded due to overwhelming popularity—adding a spring edition in 2011 and a winter edition in 2016.
Inspired by Hamptons Restaurant Week and the original New York Restaurant Week, the campaign is presented by the Long Island Restaurant & Hospitality Group, the business-to-consumer promotions division of WordHampton Public Relations, one of Long Island’s leading hospitality PR firms.
Supporting Restaurants When It Matters Most
Restaurant Week was designed to boost commerce during traditionally slower dining periods—particularly winter, when colder weather often keeps diners at home. By encouraging locals to dine out, the event provides a much-needed economic lift to restaurants, chefs, servers, and hospitality staff across the island.
Spanning 118 miles from Garden City to Montauk, Winter Restaurant Week typically features more than 160 participating restaurants, making it easy for diners to find standout options in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
What Diners Can Expect
From Sunday to Sunday, participating restaurants offer specially curated prix-fixe menus, giving guests the chance to experience signature dishes at reduced prices:
Two-course lunch menus for $24
Three-course dinner menus for $29, $39, or $46
Available every day restaurants are open
Saturdays offered until 7:00 p.m. at some restaurants
This structure allows diners to explore new cuisines, revisit favorite spots, and enjoy high-quality meals at accessible price points.
