Join the Huntington Historical Society for a celebration of Springtime! In its nearly 30-year history, the Sheep to Shawl festival has been a joyous event to welcome warmer weather with fun, family-oriented activities that highlight the lifestyles, arts, crafts, and traditions of historic Huntington. The main events at this festival are the live sheep shearing demonstrations. For early Americans, shearing a sheep was hard work. Onlookers at the Festival come away with a renewed appreciation for the early colonists and their everyday chores and activities!
Visitors can also enjoy historic crafting demonstrations and activities, traditional music, the Huntington Militia, and more! In addition, our Kissam House Museum will be open for tours, and visitors will be able to peruse our Antiques & Collectibles Shop on the property.
