Are you the parent of a neurodiverse teen or young adult looking to help them make social connections? It is with your child in mind that we’ve started our Gaming Social Club for teens and young adults at Valhallan Esports in Huntington. For too many of our kids, screen time has become an at-home solitary experience where we as concerned parents wonder if it’s an inhibitor towards them making social connections. At the same time, from their perspective, I get it- that screen doesn’t mock them or act cruel towards them as many of their peers do. It’s with that in mind that we’ve started our Gaming Social Club for neurodiverse teens and young adults at Valhallan Esports in Huntington. We seek to get the kids out of the house, have them around similarly situated peers, and use gaming as a foundation for fun and friendships. Our gaming arena has a cool ambiance that your kids will find attractive and makes it easier to get them out of the house (which I know can be difficult) Call 516-696-7766 for more information and please know this is a welcoming space for your child.

Join the Huntington Historical Society for a celebration of Springtime! In its nearly 30-year history, the Sheep to Shawl festival has been a joyous event to welcome warmer weather with fun, family-oriented activities that highlight the lifestyles, arts, crafts, and traditions of historic Huntington. The main events at this festival are the live sheep shearing demonstrations. For early Americans, shearing a sheep was hard work. Onlookers at the Festival come away with a renewed appreciation for the early colonists and their everyday chores and activities! Visitors can also enjoy historic crafting demonstrations and activities, traditional music, the Huntington Militia, and more! In addition, our Kissam House Museum will be open for tours, and visitors will be able to peruse our Antiques & Collectibles Shop on the property.
